You can subscribe to the State Library of Tasmania's RSS feeds to be alerted as soon as new resources appear in our catalogue.
Many websites produce up-to-date lists of their new content, called RSS feeds. Newsreader software shows you the RSS feeds that you have subscribed to.
Newsreader software can be a web-based service or software downloaded to your computer. If you use a web-based service then you can view all your RSS feeds by going to the newsreader webpage and logging in.
Some examples of free web-based newsreaders are Google Reader and Bloglines.
Look for the RSS icon on the website you're interested in — usually a small icon like
or
. Click on the icon to subscribe to the RSS feed.
A feed icon can be found on any search results page on our catalogue, e.g.:

If you want to know more about RSS feeds see the Common Craft video on YouTube RSS in Plain English or read the transcript.
