You can subscribe to the LINC Tasmania's RSS feeds to be alerted as soon as new resources appear in our catalogue.

What are RSS feeds?

Many websites produce up-to-date lists of their new content, called RSS feeds. Newsreader software shows you the RSS feeds that you have subscribed to.

How do I get RSS feeds?

1. Get a newsreader

Newsreader software can be a web-based service or software downloaded to your computer.

  • Most web browsers will read RSS e.g. Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, Opera. You may need to download the latest version of the browser.
  • Example of free web-based newsreader: Google Reader. You can view all your RSS feeds by going to the newsreader webpage and logging in.

2. Find an RSS feed to subscribe to

Look for the RSS icon on the website you're interested in — usually a small icon like or . Click on the icon to subscribe to the RSS feed.

A feed icon can be found on any search results page on our catalogue, e.g.:
