TALIS Plus help: RSS feeds

You can subscribe to the State Library of Tasmania's RSS feeds to be alerted as soon as new resources appear in our catalogue.

What are RSS feeds?

Many websites produce up-to-date lists of their new content, called RSS feeds. Newsreader software shows you the RSS feeds that you have subscribed to.

How do I get RSS feeds?

1. Get a newsreader

Newsreader software can be a web-based service or software downloaded to your computer. If you use a web-based service then you can view all your RSS feeds by going to the newsreader webpage and logging in.

Some examples of free web-based newsreaders are Google Reader and Bloglines.

2. Find an RSS feed to subscribe to

Look for the RSS icon on the website you're interested in — usually a small icon like or . Click on the icon to subscribe to the RSS feed.

A feed icon can be found on any search results page on our catalogue, e.g.:
