| Notes: | The relationship between the Tasmanian, and Port Dalrymple advertiser published in Launceston, and the Tasmanian (Hobart, Tas.) is tenuous. Howe left Launceston at the end May 1825 to take up a position as publisher of the government sponsored Hobart Town gazette. Howe left the Hobart Town gazette early in 1827 and founded the Tasmanian on Mar. 3, 1827-The Tasmanian, Launceston's first newspaper / E. Morris Miller. Microfilm.
